Aidan Lawrence is a Canadian artist and filmmaker based in Howick, Québec.
Working across experimental cinema, site-conditioned installation, and photographic field records, he develops long-duration projects shaped by environmental systems, temporary interventions, and repeated returns to specific sites.
His central body of work, MONUMENT TO UNCERTAINTY, has been developed since 2020 at a stormwater canal in Verdun / Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang, Québec.
The project treats the site as a durational system using water, light, weather, concrete, reflection, and time to test the unstable boundary between documentation, intervention, and event.
